Handmade in Spain, piece by piece

Cortell is made by hand in Spain. The porcelain is cast in plaster moulds and released by hand; the ribbing and the relief come from the piece itself, not from a label stuck on afterwards. The wax is plant-based, paraffin free, and poured one by one in batches of forty.

Eight fragrances from the same master perfumer, each in eleven formats, so a whole house can smell the same without turning into a blur.

Recommended fragrance

08 Marja

A reed diffuser and a lit candle on the living room table: this is the pairing we recommend most to start with. The diffuser keeps the scent in the background all day with nothing to do, and the candle raises the intensity just as someone arrives.

Marja is blackberry, bay laurel and cedar. Sweet and wild, but never cloying, because the laurel gives it a green edge that cuts the sugar. It works as well in the porcelain candle as in the hand and body liquid soap, where the blackberry shows most.

09 Talvi

The house's ninth fragrance arrives in September. Talvi is spiced and dry: pink pepper opens with a sharp edge, nutmeg rounds it off and cedar stays behind once everything else has gone.

It comes in the usual eleven formats, with its own packaging colour.

One scent, eleven formats

Pick a scent and dress the whole house in it

Every piece in a fragrance shares the same master perfumer's formula, adapted to each format. That is why the hallway and the bathroom never clash: the house sounds in tune instead of blurred.

  1. The hallway The reed diffuser: it works on its own and never goes out.
  2. The living room The candle, lit a couple of hours before anyone arrives.
  3. The bathroom Bar soap and lotion, the same scent on your hands.
  4. The bedroom Fabric mist over the sheets and the curtains.
